I got my first two charts this morning. As soon as I knew I could still join the Block of the Month I went to Picture This Plus and ordered a 1/2 yard 22 ct Hardanger in Coastal. I will now organize my threads that were never put back in place after other projects ( I know, I'm a slacker) and pull out the threads for Serenity Harbor. Then I'll make my way to my LNS to get any colors I don't already have. That will help pass the time until my fabric gets here.

ReplyDeleteHey, Abi, glad to see you here! As soon as your fabric arrives, you should be able to catch up really quickly. PTP's Coastal is beautiful fabric, and should look really nice with this sampler. I know we will have a great year stitching this sampler together. See ya in the Village!
ReplyDeleteI have finished part 1 and half way through part 2. I should be able to get through part 3 before part 4 comes out. I love this chart. I have been playing with the number of threads since I am using 22 ct fabric. I started with 2 and doing full cross stitches. Not happy with that look, so tried 3 strands of half stitches, again, not good. So I tried 2 strands of half stitch and it's beautiful. After a lot of frogging I though- What! Am I crazy? Why not show my progress? I am keeping on with the 2 strand half cross but left some of the 3 strand. I am the only one who can see the differences, so I can see how I have learned. Best decision ever. I am thrilled with my decision. Live and learn. It's made it so special to me!
